Resources For Coaches, Therapists and Healing Professionals
I’m often asked about the services and products I’ve used to create my site, so I’ve put together a list (which is ever growing), specifically for busy healing professionals who would like to get their information out in website form. Listed below are products, resources and tools I’ve used myself and highly recommend; they are, without exception, effective, practical, direct and priced right.

HOSTING
- HostGator: I’ve been using HostGator since I started my first blog. They are easy to use, have great support and 1-click automatic WordPress installation. They’ve helped me though all sorts of debacles and I’ve never been disappointed with their professionalism and customer service.
BLOGGING
- WordPress: I’ve never used anything else but WordPress. It’s quick, easy, free, customizable with a supportive format that can’t be beat. It’s simply the best publishing platform available
- Thesis: I’ve used this theme since it was recommended to me years ago. I love it. It’s designed for WordPress and is full of awesome design control options… not to mention built in SEO capabilities.
LEARNING
- BYOB Website: I’ve just renewed my membership for another year. Before discovering BYOB, I had spent hours, not to mention far too much money, trying to find good tutorials on WordPress and Thesis. Well, look no further, this is it… hands down. There are hundreds of instructional videos for every level of competency, complimented by weekly webinars and a myriad of extras for members. It’s worth every penny, especially if you like to do things yourself.
- iPhone Video Hero: Just added this a while ago and so far it’s great. I’ll report back when I finish the course.
EMAIL MARKETING
- Aweber: This too was recommended to me a few years back, and I love it. Lots of beginner’s tutorials and lots of support by friendly live people. If you’re going to get seen, you need an opt in service and aweber is simply the best.
