In it’s more modern form, a quest can be as basic as journaling and mining your dreams for direction and clarity… certainly far less demanding than an extensive time in the wilderness for fasting and purification. The way I see it, anytime you contact spirit for guidance, you’re on a quest… but then, I’m not all that traditional, so mine is a loose interpretation.
What follows are a few personal recommendations for very interesting teachers who have some worthwhile practices and helpful ideas to impart.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][us_image image=”2435″ size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”ROBERT MOSS” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”%7B%22default%22%3A%7B%22margin-top%22%3A%220px%22%7D%7D”][vc_column_text]Robert Moss is a Dream Teacher, who describes himself as a storyteller who helps people find and live bigger and braver stories of their lives. He does this through a process he created called “Active Dreaming”; an ingenious cross between dream work and shamanism.
Here’s what Robert says: “Every night, your sleep dreams bring you keys to self-healing and self-understanding, glimpses of challenges that lie around the corner in waking life and direct access to your deeper self. As you become an active dreamer, you will learn how to step outside time and embark on conscious dream journeys to places of initiation and adventure inside the Dreaming where spiritual teachers and protector are waiting for you”.
I discovered Robert through the Shift Network when I took a free online introduction to Active Dreaming. So, of course, I signed up for the full course, which was well worth the investment. Robert is unbelievably buoyant, inspiring and joyful, while also being able to teach in a clear and organized way. I got more out of this than I could have imagined, including a bigger, braver story… so, not bad.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”JEAN HOUSTON” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”%7B%22default%22%3A%7B%22margin-top%22%3A%220px%22%7D%7D”][vc_column_text]
Not only Uma’s dad, Robert is also the first Western Tibetan Buddhist monk… obviously, he’s been dedicated for years. On top of that he’s a professor, writer, organizer and long time friend of the Dalai Lama’s. I met him first hand at a retreat he co-facilitated years ago; I was in awe of his joy, humor, generosity of spirit and patience and the whole-hearted way he imparted his wisdom from exactly that place.

Wisdom simply doesn’t get better than this when you’re ready to question everything; just make sure you’re ready to have your mind blown.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
